Why should you take it?

Aged sake of the highest balance

Poured into a glass, Yamabuki Gold boasts a whiskey-like amber color that sets it apart from conventional clear sake. It has a deep, sweet aroma like ripe fruit and a rich, complex flavor that is layered with spicy notes.

This Yamabuki Gold is a precious aged old sake that is blended with old sake selected as Champion Sake to give it the highest reputation. It is ideal for those seeking a unique sake, and can be enjoyed on the rocks with ice or hot. It is also an exquisite pairing for richly flavored meat dishes and chocolate.

Aged koshu is a difficult choice, but Yamabuki Gold is a prime example of an excellent aged sake. With the best balance that sets it apart from the rest, this sake offers a sake experience unlike any other.

Akita Prefecture, with its humid climate and culture, which is conducive to aged fermentation, offers the best conditions for brewing sake such as aged old sake.

Please enjoy with all your senses the mellow, multi-layered flavor, beautifully blended amber color, and mellow aroma that have wowed many top sommeliers.

Brewery

Kinmonakita Shuzo

Based in Daisen City, Akita Prefecture, Kinmon Akita Sake Brewery has made "aging" a keyword in its product development, offering old sake and new types of sake. In 2009, the company won the Champion Sake in the sake category at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) held in England, and has continued to win medals since then.

In 2018, an aged old bottle of "Yamabuki 42 years (720 ml)" sold for about 320,000 yen at an auction held in London and was highly appreciated by the global market.

Edgy concepts of sake are the essence of Kinmon Akita Brewery, such as the "X3 Series," which includes aged sake aged in oak, cherry, and chestnut barrels and using three times the amount of koji rice than usual.

Area

Daisen / Akita

It takes three hours from Tokyo Station on the Akita Shinkansen to reach Kakunodate City in Akita Prefecture. In Kakunodate City, samurai residences built in the Edo period (1603-1867) still remain, and visitors can enjoy an emotional townscape. The city is also home to kabazaiku, a traditional craft made from the bark of the yamazakura cherry tree, and products made in collaboration with world-class luxury brands present the "beauty" of tradition and innovation.

The neighboring town of Daisen City is the host area for the Omagari Fireworks Festival, one of Japan's three largest firework festivals, which is Japan's premier competition. It attracts 700,000 visitors every year.

The cities of Kakunodate and Daisen in Akita Prefecture, which attract you from season to season, are well worth a visit. Why not visit them once?
